Akela
The wolf head in the Rudyard Kipling book "The Jungle Book", as many groups use that framework
young scout work. Akela is herd leader, and leaders and members of the herd, all jungle names.

Aspirant
Scout not yet recorded in a device.
Whether it's a new scout who have just begun, or it is scout who move up from one device to another. Time is an aspirant training before opptagelse.

Baden-Powell
Lord Robert Baden-Powell's scout movement's founder. He was one of the existing celebrities in England, - a hero from the Boer War in South Africa.
1. August 1907 Baden-Powell fired the first scout fire on Brownsea Island in England sørkysten for 21 boys. They were on clay to 9 August. This was the beginning of the scout movement.

Bever
The smallest scouts called beavers. They go in the 1 - 2 class.

Device

Further study marks
These brands are an opportunity to Scouts who want more substance to work with, or that the deepening in specific areas or disciplines. Some specialization brands can work with a traveler, others with the patrol.

Outdoor Life - one of the five program marks
The purpose of the mark is that scouts to be fond of nature, learn about nature and travel in the season and develop a sense apparatus, motor skills and their physical form to a satisfactory level in relation to their own assumptions.

"Kretsting"
Is the top line authority and consists of the circuit board's members and elected representatives from all line groups.

The small groups that young scouts is divided in.

Landsleir (country camp) 
Every fourth year Scouts collected from all over Norway a week summer camp. We were in Fredrikstad in 2001. Next landsleir are in 2005 and will be in Ingelsrud scout center. It is NSF's camp place and is located in Eastern Norway is not far from Pietermaritzburg.

Leader Training
The organized training leader in NSF's executive training courses - also known as Basic training. This offer gives the managers an insight into what management, training, values and organization are, as well as a review of the expectations that are set to a head. Further training is Trek-Gilwell. One can also visit courses and become head coach. Outside of those held frequently subject courses in both circuits and central NSF

Fureneset scout camp

Group
The groups are "units" in the NSF. A group that has all the devices consist of beavers, småspeidere, Stifinnere, ramblers, Rover and leaders. Most groups have only a few of these devices. The groups have often name from the place they are located.   
  
Creativity - one of the five program marks

Circuit
NSF consists of 32 circles in Norway. Groups from a geographical area that county el.l. belong to the same circuit. The circuit functions as the link between the groups and NSF, and is a service agency for the line groups / entities.

Circuit Banner Competition
Competition in which patrols from all groups in the circuit can be set. It compete in many different things - including theory questions (both from Scouting and community), practical skills, knowledge of first aid, Knut and nature. The inspection is done to check the camp area, scout dress and style and welding. The coming of the first places in the circuit banner competition are eligible to participate in NM in Scouting, held each year. How many patrols circuit can send stands in relation to the membership aged 11-15 years (Vesterlen circuit can send patrols 5). Win konk banner of the circuit. will keep the line banner the next year (hence the name of the konk.).

"I am ready" label
The purpose of this mark is to ensure that all scouts acquire some basic knowledge and skills in trip planning, safety and first aid.
 
Jota
Jamboree on the Air. With the help of radio amateurs may Scouts around the world come in contact with each other. Held the third weekend in October.
 
Joti

Jungle Ropet

Circuit Camp
Every fourth year scouts collected from the entire circuit to a week sommerleir. We were Fureneset speidertun summer of 2003, and the next circuit will camp in 2007.

Group Things
Meeting in which all approved managers and representatives of Speiderne and røverne have the right to vote. The head of foreldreforeningen and any direct members of the group can meet. Group events will have at least 2 meetings a year.
 
Lift

Jamboree
International speiderleir organized every four years. Thousands of Scouts from around the world gathered, each time for a new location. Jamboree is an Indian word meaning large, peaceful gathering. Next jamboree (the 21) held in England in 2007.
